AAPS faculty member Samantha Jackson recently made global headlines for her generosity.

Jackson and her husband Farzin Yousefian are being celebrated for their decision to cancel their wedding and use the money to sponsor a Syrian family in Canada. Using their wedding funds and donations from friends and family they have been able to raise $22,000 of the $27,000 needed for their cause.

You can help them reach their goal by donating online, visit the Ryerson University Lifeline Syria Challenge and select the couple’s names from the drop down menu.

Congratulations go out to the happy couple for their selfless act of kindness and unique means of increasing awareness to help aid Syrian refugees.
