We would like to congratulate our very own, Laleh Bighash, on her exciting invitation to be a member of the Minister’s Private Career College Advisory Committee. The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities is mandated with regulating various aspects of the Private Career Colleges sector, including sharing information about current and emerging issues. Laleh’s extensive and accomplished career as a Private Career College executive will provide the Minister’s committee with an insightful perspective in open forum discussions dealing with important issues concerning Private Career Colleges in Ontario. To all students, faculty and staff, The holiday season is a time of reflection and gratitude. As this year comes to an end, I have so much to be thankful for. 2015 has been quite a year for AAPS. Laleh Bighash attends ASHP’s 50th midyear Clinical Meeting

In early December Laleh Bighash, AAPS’ Dean of Scientific Affairs, had the pleasure of attending ASHP’s 50th midyear Clinical Meeting. ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting has become one of the largest gatherings of pharmacists and the longest running clinical meeting in the world. Pharmacy practitioners from all over the world gather to learn about the latest innovations and developments in the industry. This year’s event was held in New Orleans, Louisiana and featured wonderful programing and networking sessions. Last Thursday, AAPS’ Dean of Scientific Affairs, Laleh Bighash presented her talk on successful search strategies for the Canadian job market at CAMP’s Power Networking Event. Dean Laleh Bighash Speaks at the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Conference

On June 10, 2015 hundreds of attendees from all over Canada gathered for the second annual Canadian Marijuana for Medical Purposes Summit.  Various representatives from licensed producers to testing labs, lawyers and lobbying experts were in attendance to discuss the Canadian cannabis industry. COO and Dean of Pharmaceutical and Scientific Affairs Laleh Bighash was invited to speak at the conference about her extensive experience working with Health Canada and guiding clients through the application to become a Licensed Producer under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR).
