This comprehensive program offers students a well-rounded education in nutrition and food service management. The curriculum covers the fundamentals of nutrition, including the roles of macronutrients and micronutrients, and their impact on health and disease. Students will learn to assess nutritional status, develop individualized care plans, and manage the unique needs of various populations, from infants to older adults.
Additionally, the program provides in-depth training in clinical nutrition, special diets, and the role of nutrition in disease management. Practical courses in food safety, sanitation, and quantity food preparation prepare students for the operational aspects of food service management. Courses in human resource management, financial business management, and marketing equip students with essential leadership, communication, and financial skills for successful careers in food service settings.

Graduates of this program will receive a Diploma in Food and Nutrition Management. This program is approved as a vocational program under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005. Graduates of this program are also eligible to write the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM) Membership Examination to qualify for membership.
