Quality

Cannabis remains one of the most heavily regulated industries in the world.
Understanding the Health Canada requirements and maintaining compliance remains critical and continues to be an area that many industry hopefuls still lack a comprehensive understanding of.

Our cannabis program teaches students how to write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), create a recall and complaint system and how to establish an effective Quality Management System overall for a cannabis production and processing facility.

Edibles

Cannabis edibles producers continue to enter the market with new and innovative products that are helping move the industry forward as a whole. With the complexity that inevitably comes with cannabis edible production regarding the added food ingredients, processing techniques, and overall regulatory considerations, cannabis professionals are required to have in-depth knowledge related to food science, food processing techniques, product development, and hazard analysis.

Our cannabis program provides a comprehensive understanding for each of these areas to students, helping them obtain key skills and start a career in an exciting new aspect of the cannabis industry.

Laboratory

Our cannabis laboratory courses provide students with a combination of theoretical and practical knowledge related to cannabis analytical testing and extraction. With our Health Canada R&D licence, students will have the ability to get hands-on with cannabis laboratory equipment such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and learning how to test for THC, CBD for different product categories.
