The Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance Project course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct an independent research project in the area of clinical safety or pharmacovigilance. This course will focus on the development and successful completion of an applied research paper carried out under the direct supervision of the course professor. Students will be guided through the research process, from selecting a research topic and conducting a literature review, to defining key terms and concepts, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting their findings to the field.
By the end of this course, students will have developed a comprehensive research paper that contributes to the field by further developing research documented in the literature or proposing a new direction for further research. The paper will include a review of the literature, a statement of methodology, data analysis and interpretation, and implications for future research.
