Introduction to Statistical Analysis is designed to introduce some of the most common statistical methods with practical application in research. This course includes both descriptive and inferential statistical methods. Students will learn how to organize and represent research data in descriptive statistics. Also, inferential statistics will provide an opportunity for students to learn how to use statistical models in order to generalize the information obtained from a representative sample to a population from which the sample is selected. Upon completion, students should be able to describe the statistical concepts introduced in the course and use statistical models to draw conclusions about the result of research data.
The course is intended for students who plan to search for a career that is directly or indirectly related to research.
