Online Courses and Virtual Classrooms: Our COVID-19 Response

As outlined in the framework by the Ministry of Colleges and University (MCU), career colleges can now offer priority in-person training on a pilot basis. Laboratory courses at AAPS have resumed at our Toronto Campus and all other courses are continued to be offered virtually via Zoom.

Our commitment is to create a safe and protective learning environment amidst a global pandemic. To ensure the safety of our community, we need your cooperation. If you are planning to join AAPS, please read the On Campus COVID-19 Policy and understand the expectations of learning on AAPS campus during this challenging time.

With these new safety measures and your cooperation, we are confident that we can achieve a healthy, safe and supportive learning environment at AAPS. The AAPS community will overcome this pandemic and be stronger than before.

Here are some key highlights:

• Non-laboratory classes are conducted online via Zoom (until further notice). They are live, interactive and instructor-led!

• Students still have access to instructors in the virtual classroom and through emails.
• Assessments, quiz, exams and all assessments can be taken on online.
• Administration and program coordinators are available to help students with any technical difficulties.

• AAPS campuses are open for laboratory courses, administration and other assistance between Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

For prospective students:

Have you inquired about our programs or spoke with one of our program advisers? We have over 50 courses that are offered online and many more delivered LIVE virtually. Take advantage of this opportunity to upgrade your education from anywhere!

Travel information:

Should you or any of your family members travel during this period, we kindly ask you to refrain from visiting AAPS campuses for at least 14 days after arrival. If you have been ill or been in contact with those who carried COVID-19, a doctor’s note of medical clearance will be required before visiting our campus.

Prevention Measures

Health agencies recommend that the best way to reduce the risk of transmission of the flu and other respiratory illnesses is to:

• Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
• Avoid touching your face.
• Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces frequently.
• Sneeze or cough in a tissue or your elbow. Make sure your mouth is covered.
• Avoid contact with people who are ill and their items.
• Practice social distancing.
