COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

AAPS recognizes the right of an individual to the protection of their personal information and the need for information management practices that adhere to national standards and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
As a result of your inquiry about and/or your participation in AAPS training and educational courses and seminars, AAPS may have collected some or all of the following personal information about you:

Your name, company and/or personal address, business and/or phone number, fax number, email address, and occupation.
AAPS collects and uses your personal information primarily for the purpose of providing you with the services you have requested from us. Your personal information is used to communicate with you and to provide you with information related to upcoming courses, seminars, and other services.

AAPS may also contact you from time to time to conduct market research and surveys in an effort to continually improve our courses and program offerings. Unless you specifically authorize us to release your personal information, or release is required or permitted by law, the AAPS will not sell, lease or trade your personal information to other third parties.

AAPS only ask for information about you that we need and will only ask for it when we need it. When we ask you for the information, we will explain to you why we need it and what we are going to do with it. By providing the information to us, you have consented to these uses and disclosures.

Your personal information will not be used for any other purpose without your consent.

WHAT IS PERSONAL INFORMATION?

"Personal information" is personally identifiable information such as your name, residential address and e-mail address and includes information about your product and service subscriptions and usage, credit information and billing records, service and recorded complaints.


CONSENT

Consent may be written, oral or implied by an individual requesting information about AAPS programs and services.

DISCLOSURE

To enable us to more efficiently provide the training course, programs and services you have requested from us, the AAPS may share your personal information with other AAPS sister companies and with selected third parties who are acting on our behalf as our agents, suppliers or service providers. Such third party service providers are provided only with such information as is necessary in the circumstances. Information provided to third parties may be used only for the purpose stipulated and is subject to strict terms of confidentiality.

ACCURACY

AAPS will try to ensure that information about you is accurate, complete and up-to-date. However, please inform the AAPS of any change of name, address or other information.

SECURITY

AAPS is committed to protecting your privacy. Security measures using a number of manual and electronic controls have been adopted to protect your personal information against loss or theft, as well as unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. AAPS allows access to your personal information to those employees who need to use it in their work. AAPS employees who have access to personal information are made aware of the responsibility they have to protecting that personal information. Our employees are subject to disciplinary actions for the unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information.
